We are delighted to announce that the Director of The PAT Group, Felim Mac Críosta, was presented with the Unsung Hero Award at the 2024 Irish Electrical Awards, an annual event which celebrates the contributions and innovations of Ireland’s electrical industry. The Awards not only acknowledge the work of individuals and companies, but also support charitable endeavours like the Irish Electrical Benevolent Association, which supports members of the industry and their families during periods of difficulty.
Felim Mac Críosta – The Unsung Hero
The PAT Group is incredibly proud to recognise Felim’s Unsung Hero Award, as it reflects his dedication and commitment to local communities for over twenty years, though his trade work and diverse teaching and volunteer experiences. As the Director of the PAT Group, Felim brings a wealth of knowledge from his 23 years of PAT testing, working in the industry, as a lecturer in Fás/ETB colleges, and continues to teach in a volunteer capacity, working with apprentices from all areas of the trade. Likewise, in a volunteer capacity, he was instrumental to forming the networks of Inspector Group Ireland (IGI) which is a well-recognised resource for electricians to share industry information.
Life Blood Bikes East Volunteer
Outside of the electrical industry, Felim volunteers with Riders for Life Blood Bikes East (BBE), an emergency medical service which has delivered 35,000 lifesaving transports and saved Irish hospitals money since the organisations establishment in 2013. Operated solely by 150 volunteers, Felim has been the BBE’s Chair since 2019, and also serves as one of the BBE’s many bikers to deliver emergency transportation services to hospitals in Dublin city and the greater Dublin area.
